A Man Like None Other Chapter 2785-“You… You…”
The man was lost for words as he stared at Kai in disbelief.
Right then, Kai released his hold on the man. “Take me to him.”
After a slight hesitation, the man led Kai to Vinicus, whose expression darkened when he saw the two.
“Gregory, what are you doing? Why haven’t you kill him?”
Gregory Stark remained silent as a conflicted expression appeared on his face.
Kai looked at Vinicus and said, “How dare a Demonic Cultivator like you show your face here? Shouldn’t you be hiding somewhere?”
Vinicus knew right off the bat that Gregory had betrayed him when Kai revealed his identity. With no need to conceal who he was, he emitted a black mist that was synonymous with demonic techniques.
“Gregory, do you know the consequences of exposing my identity?” Vinicus thundered.
Gregory gritted his teeth and looked up abruptly. “I do, but even if I have to die, I won’t stand by the side of evil anymore. The fact that I’ve helped you hide your demonic aura has allowed you to kill countless men! Worse comes to worst, I’ll lose my life, but there’s no way I’m going to make pills that hide your demonic aura anymore. If you want to kill me, go ahead! Take my life!”
“Fine. Since you have a death wish, I’ll make it come true. Do you think a lowly cultivator at Second Level Body Fusion Realm can save you?” Vinicus moved his finger, and a black mist began to rise from his body.
Gregory let out an agonized scream as he convulsed on the ground.
“Kill me, young man. Kill me. I can’t bear this torment any longer,” Gregory begged Kai.
Kai furrowed his brows and grabbed Gregory’s wrist.
After sending a burst of spiritual energy into Gregory’s body, Kai detected a demonic aura running wild within it that was causing Gregory unbearable pain.
“Don’t worry. You’ll survive as long as I’m around.”
Kai stabbed his finger at multiple points across Gregory’s body, causing a maelstrom of black mist to form right above Gregory’s head.
Then, Kai sucked in the black mist.
After only a short moment, the demonic aura inside Gregory disappeared and was sucked into Kai’s body.
Gregory was dumbfounded.
“What have you done, young man? You’ll suffer a fate worse than death by filling yourself with demonic aura.”
Gregory couldn’t understand why Kai would do something like that.
“Don’t worry. I’ll be fine,” Kai reassured him before turning to Vinicus.
Vinicus was just as shocked as he stared at Kai. “Who in the world are you to absorb demonic aura into your body?”
“Who am I is none of your business. You still have a chance to leave now. I’m on my way to attend the Alchemist Fair and I don’t want you to cause any trouble. Also, I don’t care if you’re a demon, beast, or human. I won’t bother you as long as you stay out of my way,” Kai replied with a wave of his hand.
The stunned Vinicus scrutinized Kai from head to toe. He couldn’t believe how a cultivator at Second Level Body Fusion Realm dared to speak to him that way.
He was, after all, a cultivator at Sixth Level Body Fusion Realm. The gap in their powers was so big that he could kill Kai with a single slap.
Vinicus had no idea how Kai could be so confident.
Even Gregory was clueless as to what was happening. Kai might have demonstrated something out of his cultivation level, but defeating a cultivator at Sixth Level Body Fusion Realm was still an impossible feat for him.
