The Guardian’s Sword by Talking Cigarette Chapter 1519

Chapter 1519

“Alright.”

Sean nodded before saying to Zander, “Tell Victor I’ll be there.”

“Yes!”

Zander nodded heavily.

Once Zander left the orphanage, Caitlyn asked sheepishly, “Brother Sean, do you have trouble with Victor because of the orphanage?”

“It has nothing to do with the orphanage. Victor is narrow-minded and can’t stand people who are more capable than him. I didn’t see him after coming to Joules Town, so he has a problem with me. I set up Lennon Group to compete with Billion Trees Group, which also made waves in Joules Town for a while and caused trouble for the Joules Town government, so he disliked me even more… But don’t worry. It’s nothing.”

Caitlyn was relieved to hear Sean say this.

“I wonder what high society’s parties are like.”

Caitlyn mumbled to herself as she thought about the parties she had seen on television.

“You’ll see.”

Sean said with a smile.

Time flew.

On the night of the party, Sean drove Caitlyn to Myron Hotel’s parking lot.

After getting out of the car, Sean went to the front passenger door, opened it, and held Caitlyn’s arm to help her get out.

Blushing, Caitlyn said sheepishly, “I feel like I’ve turned into a rich heiress on TV dramas.”

“You’re a rich heiress when I’m around.”

Sean quipped.

Caitlyn could not help looking down as she grew shyer.

“Hold up your head and be confident. You’re beautiful as you are. You cannot lose to those so- called rich heiresses.”

Sean encouraged her.

With Sean’s encouragement, Caitlyn finally felt a little more confident. She tried hard to hold her head up and her chest out. Holding Sean’s arm, she walked toward Myron Hotel with him.

They were surrounded by people going to Myron Hotel for the party, and they were mostly couples or married couples.

These people were dressed to the nines. Men were in suits, while women were in gowns. Everything was fancy.

Caitlyn felt as if she was in a dream in that environment.

However, Sean and Caitlyn were stopped by two security guards in front of Myron Hotel.

“Please show us your invitation. Thank you.”

A security guard reached out his hand to Sean.

Sean frowned-he did not have an invitation.

He had come to the party because he had been “invited” by Victor. He did not know beforehand that he needed an invitation to enter. He was surprised to be stopped by the security guard.

“Do we need an invitation for this party?”

Sean asked.

His question was met with a burst of laughter from everyone nearby.

Everyone attending the party cast disdainful glances at Sean and Caitlyn as if they were looking at clowns.

The two security guards at the door were unabashed in their disdain.

One of the guards snapped bluntly, “Nonsense. This party is very exclusive that the guests

here are all Joules Town’s elite. They’re either dignitaries or business tycoons. Do you think any random people can attend it?”
