“I won’t kill him,” replied His Lordship with his eyes dim, “I will make him experience the same things I did before asking him how he would choose.”
His face was somewhat pale.
Although Ethan didn’t kill him with his attack, His Lordship was critically hurt.
Ethan now possessed three pages of the manual. Given his talent, it was only a matter of time before he mastered the third page.

“Mr Peak is losing patience with you,” said Daniel, “I told him you and Ethan might be putting on a show, and he probably bought it.”
“Did he order you to kill me?” asked His Lordship as he turned his head and glanced at Daniel with a murderous look in his eyes.
“No, he didn’t,” replied Daniel as he shook his head, “I will never kill you.”
He reached his hand out to touch His Lordship’s injured shoulder, but his hand halted in mid-air. Then he shook his head, and bitterly smiled as he sighed and said, “I could never bring myself to.”
There was a complicated look in his eyes, and he didn’t know what to say.
“Let me handle things from now on. I’ve already arranged everything and will help you do anything you want. None of the people who caused her death can flee. Just focus on getting well.”
His Lordship didn’t say a word.
“I think the family has lost their patience, not just Mr Peak alone. Since five pages of the manual have surfaced, it means that it’s almost time. They indulged you for 20 years because they weren’t anxious at all. But now the time is ripe, and no one wants to miss the opportunity.”

“So many people?” Shawn couldn’t help saying when he saw the hordes of people standing at the door, “It’s the middle of the night. Don’t they need to sleep?”
He had no clue what it was like being a fan or how charismatic his daughter was.
“They want to be the first to see Victoria’s movie,” said Diane as she smiled. “So what if they stay up late? They can even spend the whole night waiting here!”
Then the two of them held their hands as they walked backstage.
Shawn shook his head. He didn’t understand why youngsters had to do this.
If he didn’t have to protect Victoria and Diane, he wouldn’t hang around since he was starting to feel exhausted.
Very quickly, the event commenced.
The organizer and sponsor both made statements, followed by the director, scriptwriter, and the movie’s main cast. Even the fans sent a representative. The event went on for 30 minutes before the movie was about to commence. Then the crowd suddenly shouted and asked Victoria to sing.
Victoria smiled. Then she graciously took the microphone and started singing a cappella.
Her voice was melodious and sweet-sounding.
After a few lines, her fans started singing one after another.
