Amelia’s words made Kidd feel even worse inside.
Ethan didn’t care for the empire he had built?
Palmer Group was so far off from the L’Oreals and Ethan actually didn’t care about them?
But then again, Kidd had experienced what Ethan was capable of, so there was nothing he could say either.
“I’m not worried about the family. I’m worried about you.” Kidd glanced at Amelia. “I’m worried that you’d fall deeper into this.”
Amelia was a little stunned before she laughed. “If such a man became your son-in-law, wouldn’t that be wonderful?”
“He’d have to really be my son-in-law first,” mumbled Kidd.
Out here, nobody really cared about formal relationships and as long as a couple got along, they could even have children without getting married.
But this was still important to big and powerful families like the L’Oreals.
Amelia had used the misunderstanding about her being pregnant with Ethan’s child to deal with Dawson, but Kidd didn’t want to go through this frustrating process all over again.
Even if it were real.
“Keep your distance, Amelia. Remember what I said.”
“Yes, yes, I got it,” replied Amelia in a casual manner. “Alright now, let’s not talk about this anymore. I have to go to Palmer Group’s office today. Even though we’re not officially business partners, we still have to look the part.”
“Father, can you come along with me?”
If the head of the family went along, it would look more real.
“Sure, I’ll go with you. I want to see for myself what’s so special about this Palmer Group.”
He had never come into contact with anybody from Palmer Group besides that irritating Ethan. If this Palmer Group were really special, then he didn’t mind signing a proper contract with Palmer Group.
After all, the L’Oreals in Las Vegas was just a branch of the actual clan, and the clan had been trying to claim it back.
If they had a powerful and formidable business partner, it would be helpful for Amelia to control the L’Oreals in Las Vegas in the future.
The only thing he could do now was to help to pave the way for Amelia’s future.
Amelia sent orders to get the car ready.
She didn’t tell Palmer Group in advance and didn’t want anybody to know her schedule at all.
There were a lot of people in this city who wanted her dead.
A black Rolls-Royce slowly drove out from the L’Oreal house. It was impossible to see who was inside through the tinted car windows.
The moment the car left the house, it became the target of several others. There were cars that had been waiting along the road for nearly two weeks now, and they all started up and followed the black car.
After a while, the gate of the L’Oreal’s residence opened again.
A fiery red sports car sped out.
Kidd was in this car and he clutched the grab handle of his door and couldn’t help shouting.
“Don’t drive so quickly! Slow down! I’m old and I can’t take this level of excitement! AHHH!”
Amelia didn’t care about Kidd’s screaming and shouting. She had done a lot of things that made him scream and shout when she was younger anyway, so she was just reliving her childhood.
The two of them headed towards Palmer Group.

The Rolls-Royce that left earlier was driving in a completely different direction.
A car suddenly appeared from behind and sped to reach one side of the Rolls-Royce. The car window was rolled down and a gun appeared. It was aimed at the back seat of the car!
Three shots in a row!
It made a hole in the bulletproof glass!
