The Almighty Dragon General Chapter 1714

Chapter 1714

Strictly speaking, that was what had transpired. However, James was also somewhat responsible for the fiasco during the divorce. After all, Thea would not have divorced him if he had revealed his identity earlier.

“Thea, I’m the one at fault here. You have nothing to do with this. Back then, I chose to conceal my identity because I was surrounded by enemies on all sides. Divorcing you was the only way to guarantee your safety. I didn’t want my enemies to abduct you.

“After we divorced, I was the one who came back for you. All this while, you have been a kind-hearted woman. It was I who let you down.”

James felt guilty.

“But who should I trust?” At that moment, Thea was at a loss. She did not know who she should believe in. Upon being reminded of the blood Lord Omniscient gave her, she suddenly exclaimed, “Oh, yeah!” “What’s wrong?” James hurriedly asked.

Thea said, “After you left, someone who came searching for me told me that he could help me restore my memory. He even gave me some blood. Hold on, I’ll bring it here.”

Once she said that, she turned to leave.

Soon, she was back. In her hands was the bottle of fresh blood Lord Omniscient gave her.

“A strange man appeared out of nowhere and gave it to me. He told me that my strength and memory will be restored once I consume the blood. However, he warned me that I may not have long to live.”

James scrutinized the bottle but could not find anything unusual. He asked, “Who gave it to you?”

“I don’t know who he was.”

“What did he look like?”

After thinking for a moment, Thea said, “He was a thirty-year-old-looking man wearing a white robe. He had long hair that was both black and white.”

Thea briefly described Lord Omniscient’s appearance. The moment she uttered those words, James immediately understood.

Thea continued, “He even said he knew me from before. However, I have no memory of him whatsoever.”

“Mhm.” James nodded and said, “He’s the Omniscient Deity from the Jade Sect of Mount Jade. Before you lost your memory, you met him a couple of times.”

Thea asked, “Should I consume the blood then?”

“No,” James said, “There’s no need to rush things. I’ve already gotten my hands on the dragon’s whereabouts. Once I slay the dragon, I will return with its blood to save your life.”

“Oh.”

Thea did not say much. At that moment, an awkward silence filled the room.

“You have to believe in me, Thea. I only have you in my heart and mind. I’ve never fooled around with any other women. Ever since you saved me from the sea of fire, you’re the only one I love. You were the one who gave me life. I…”

James tried to break the awkward silence.

“Enough.” Thea interrupted James’ words and said, “None of this matters anymore. I won’t be able to verify your claims anyway. We’ll discuss this once I’ve restored my memory.”

James nodded and said, “I’ll do my best to slay the dragon.”

Thea said, “We’ll see.”

James gave his assurance. “I’ll do my best.”

At that moment, his phone rang. Pulling out his phone, he realized that it was the Blithe King who called.

He immediately answered the call, asking, “What’s wrong?”

The Blithe King’s voice came from the phone, “The results are out.”

“Alright, I’ll be there in an instant.”

James hung up the phone and looked at Thea, saying, “I have to head over to the Blithe King’s place to resolve a matter. I’ll be back soon.”

“Get going, then.”

Thea could not care less.

Without another word, James turned to leave.
