Upon hearing this, James waved his hand slightly and said. “There’s no need for that.”
“Huh?” The Omniscient Deity froze.
It was a self-created cultivation method highly sought after by many. Over the past two millenniums, he had never imparted the knowledge to anyone else because no one was able to arrive at the stage James was in. Now, however, his offer was being rejected.
James said smilingly, “I only need to learn about the specifics for my reference.”
“Huh… Not bad…”
The Omniscient Deity was impressed. However, he did not know that James had cultivated the Lunar and Terra Art.
He thought about it and said, “I spent three hundred years creating a cultivation method that could absorb Empyrean Spiritual Energy. Soon after absorbing the energy, I crossed into the ninth rank. The entire process took approximately three years.”
“What about now?”
James looked at him and asked, “What strength are you currently at now? Is there a level that goes even beyond the ninth rank?”
The Omniscient Deity smiled faintly and said, “You will soon understand everything. This world is not as simple as it seems. Once you cross into the ninth rank, you’ll understand that the world that you think you know is merely the tip of the iceberg.”
James froze, unable to comprehend the meaning of those words.
“Alright now, I’ve said enough. If you change your mind one day and are interested in learning the true cultivation method, come to Mount Jade anytime.”
Then, he turned to leave.
As he took a step forward, he immediately appeared a hundred meters away. There, he murmured, “I hope more people cross into the ninth rank. It’s too tiring to shoulder all the weight on my shoulders. I’m lonely after all these years. There are too many things I can’t share with others.”
As James watched the Omniscient Deity’s retreating figure, he returned to the car.
Inside the car, Thea asked, “Darling, why does the Omniscient Deity want the Imperial Jade Seal of the Prince of Orchid Mountain?”
Thea was a powerful martial artist, so she had overheard the conversation between the two.
Callan did as well, and he asked, puzzled, “The Imperial Jade Seal is merely a valuable antique. What use is there for him?”
Sitting in the driver’s seat, James was lost in thought. After a few seconds, he said, “I don’t know either”
Thea asked, “Are you really going to help him steal the Imperial Jade Seal? The Prince of Orchid Mountain is a figure who has lived for a millennium and possesses enormous power. His strength was apparent from the battle against the dragon three years ago. We wouldn’t have slayed the dragon if not for him.”
James was at a loss. He did not know if he should go after the Imperial Jade Seal. However, he had made a promise to the Omniscient Deity.
After a brief moment of thought, he said. “There’s no need to rush things. After all, the Omniscient Deity didn’t give me a time limit. We’ll discuss this after I’ve crossed into the ninth rank. Now, I can be sure that my cultivation path is the right one. If I continue cultivating the same way I have, I will make a breakthrough sooner or later”
After he spoke, he ignited the engine and drove toward the airport.
A day later, the three returned to the secluded tiny village.
